Is it possible to cut the two plugs for a 98 Durango foglight and headlight switch and write them up to a 2000 headlight switch?

Don't see why not, but can't say for sure.

I don't have 2000 wiring diagrams, so it's a bit hard to say.. in 98/99, the headlight switch directly switches the headlight circuits. In 2001, it just sends signals to the CTM which controls the headlight circuits (and thus isn't designed to handle much current)...
How the 2000 is set up, I don't know.. 2000 was kind of a transition year for a lot of things.

Do you have the wire colors and function for a 98 Durango fog light plug and the two wire plug above the headlight plug

Well, I'm still looking for a 1998 pinout. I have a 2000 from my service manual. Anybody have a page similar to this for the older style pull knob switch?

Ok, I found the one for the 1998 Durango. Now my issue is matching them up. Pin (New) Pin (Old) 1 R
2 B2
3 Ground
4 B3
5 Ground
6 ---
7 Unused
8 ---
9 Ground
10 ---
11 Unused
12 D
13 1
14 I
Other little plug for 1999 headlight switch
1 Ground
2 Ground
For the headlamp switch output, I cant get it right. if I use Pin 6 or 10, I don't get headlights. But if I use pin 8, I get headlights but for both the parking lamp and headlight positions on the switch. Any ideas?
Only thing I can think is the wires from the 98 push button foglight have to be connected to the headlight plug.

Now mind you the fog light plug has 5 or 6 wires and there is a little two wire plug that goes above the headlight plug. That's the three plugs on the 98 I can't find a pinout for those plugs

Can you get the "front lighting" section from that manual (might be section 8W-50)

I actually don't have any manual. I got them from other members or Google searches.

I've had a very tough time finding 2000 manual pages.. there's another guy here that could really use them..
Anyway, here's everything about the headlight/foglight switches on a 98. I've included the DRL pages, but you likely don't have the DRL wiring.

So you think the 2000 switch will work?
